Obsessed

Summer has a small obsession with other peoples babies...When she sees the siblings of the friends in her class she sneaks over just to kiss them or try and snuggle them.  (Sometimes a little too hard.)  It is to the point where she tells her teachers "tell my mommy I want to be a big sister."  And my response to her teacher and really everyone that asks if we will have another baby...not today my friends, not today!

Busted trying to sneak a peak

Maybe mommy won't notice if Isnuggle this one instead!

Nice to meet you

General Dynamics hosts a family Christmas party every year at Zoinks.  Up until this year we never really talked about Santa with Summer, as I really want to focus on the true reason for the season...Christ's birth.  Well, we didn't have to focus on Santa because everyone else did! So when we told Summer that we were going to meet Santa at the party she was SUPER excited. In fact the whole time we waited in line she had a grin from ear to ear. It was our turn and she went right up to Santa handed him her left hand and said..."It's nice to meet you Santa, I'm Summer."  Gotta love a little girl with manners.

I am freaking out!

Two peas in a pod

Summer goes to bed pretty easily at night now that we have a night night routine which includes both Steven and me each participating in our specific roles that our little Sassy Sue instructs us each and every night.  Well one night, she was especially fussy crying out and just not settling down.  So we both go in there to try and get our little princess to calm down and get some sleep.  When we asked her what was wrong she said "I am FREAKING out in here, I am just FREAKING out...DUDE I am freaking out in here!"  Well, I hid my laughter and asked her Summer, where did you hear that phrase?  Her response...DADDY.

Nice. Real Freaking Nice.

You turned my hair black

I haven't blogged in an eternity, but now that Summer has the flu paired with ear infections in both ears, it appears I will be homebound for the week with nothing else to do but lysol, bleach and blog:)  Here's a few "Summerism" for your reading enjoyment.

Looks black to me:)

The other morning Summer was standing on her stool in front of the mirror and I was applying her detangling spray to aide in the taming of the Rod Steward look of her hair.  As I sprayed the liquid into her hair, it darkened its appearance as everone's hair is darker when wet...Well she started screaming hysterically and yelling at the top of her lungs "YOU TURNED MY HAIR BLACK, YOU TURNED MY HAIR BLACK!"  "I WANT MY YELLOW HAIR BACK RIGHT NOW."  Well, I thought this was the most hilarious thing and assured her that all would return to it's natural color when her hair dried.  This was not the answer she wanted to hear...Needless to say, we go the blow dryer out.

First Hair Cut

My mom threatened to cut Summer's hair, so I finally caved and took her to have her first hair cut.  I had the fortunate luck to have a friend Alicia aka "Levick's mommy" cut it at her house. We didn't have to experience the trauma of 20 blow dryers and strangers overwhelming the princess who does NOT do loud noises such as vaccuums, lawn mowers, dryers or hair dryers.  She did so wonderful and was quite adorable as she peaked out of her new pixie bangs and said "look at me, I look pretty."

Getting Ready!

She was so calm and attentive!

The back view...we cut at least 3 inches!

Getting ready for the first cut!

Twins...

The other day I was talking about how much Summer looks like Steven and she says "no, Summer looks like Cinderella!"  I then proceeded to ask why and she says "Cinderella has Yewwow hair and so does Summer."  She then went on to explain that Cinderella wears "hair bandaids" aka hair bands just like her.  I see the resemblence don't you!

One for the money...

Life is flying by me at a rapid rate!  I left off when Summer turned two and I can't seem to catch up.  I figured I would post some of her most precious moments over the past few months and then get caught up with more timely blog entries.  So much has happened over the last several months!  I have a new job, we paid off a car and Summer is now the proud owner of "big girl princess panties."
